Hello! My name is Kristin, I'm in my late twenties, and I live in New York City. As much as I love the city life, I'm not so fond of how much everyone buys and consumes, especially the things that are terrible for them.
For various reasons, I've decided to abandon as many processed chemicals as I can - that includes everything from shampoo to tortilla chips.
But that doesn't mean I go without! On the contrary, I now make most things I need and while saving money isn't my main purpose, I do. I save lots of money.
I'm going to share with you my favorite recipes (for food and skincare products), my pitiful attempts at an indoor garden, and my new favorite hobby: fermenting foods.
(I also sew and knit my own clothing, though that will mostly be kept separate from this blog.)
And if you're in the New York City area and need a kombucha SCOBY or some milk kefir grains (or even a quick how-to), let me know. I just might have some to share!
